The swim takes place between the two sides of the Garonne, leaving from a special pontoon on Quai Richelieu on the left bank and arriving at Port Bastide on the right bank.
Over 500 participants are expected at this year’s event, during which the swimmers will leave in four waves named after the Côtes de Bordeaux appellations: Castillon, Blaye, Cadillac, Francs.
In a spirit of sportsmanship and friendship, the Cross-Bordeaux Swim has won back the city and its river while conveying environment-friendly values. The 1700-metre swim can be watched from the riverside on the left bank, where many secondary events are also scheduled.
So come along and watch!
